Why the sourcing stage is free
The directory is ours, the shortlisting takes days, and the alternative — paid access to lists of suppliers — is a product we do not believe in. What takes skill, time and a licence is everything after the quote: contracting, inspection, customs, documents, freight. That is the service we charge for, per shipment, with the quote in writing before you commit. If your project turns out not to need any of that, we will say so at the comparison stage and you will have lost nothing.
Why we ask about your company
The old way to filter serious buyers was an upfront payment. We dropped it. The filter now is simpler: a five-minute brief that says who is asking.
We reply to every brief where the company, the country and a reachable contact are on file — within one business day. Requests without them go to the back of the queue, because experience says they rarely turn into orders.
Your details are used to qualify and answer your request and nothing else. They are never published, sold, or shared with factories beyond what a first contact requires. See our privacy policy.
FAQ
- What does the export part cost?
- Quoted per shipment, in writing, alongside the comparison — before you decide anything. The size of it depends on the goods, the number of suppliers and the destination, not on how much we can get away with.
- What if the factory can export on its own?
- Then you may not need us, and the comparison will say which factories hold export registration. Exporting directly with a registered factory is a legitimate route — we would rather you found that out from us than after paying someone for what you did not need.
- Who is behind this?
- An export agency based in Shanghai — the directory is ours and this service is our job. If you want the registration details of the entity that would handle your export, ask and we will send them before you commit to anything. Any agent unwilling to provide that is telling you something.
